This is yet another item that I discovered on MetaFilter, (thread here): Canfranc.de a site about Europe's second-largest train section, which is derelict. I am absolutely fascinated by decaying public buildings (there are some really cool sites with photos of derelict malls on the web, too), and the photos here are beautiful. (Europe's largest train station is the one in Leipzig, which I visited and adored way back in 1992).

This is an incredibly cool guide to written Chinese in the context of signs and menus for Chinese restaurants. The language nerd in me is fascinated by this site. Via MeFi, of course.
