I have been doing some work on writing up what I already know, and I'm sad to observe the relatively easy things that I don't yet know.

All that being said, I'm going to start blogging (along with other things) some of the genealogy sites that may be of use to us. Here goes....

The UK government has an official site, familyrecords.gov.uk, which looks like an excellent and obvious starting point.

1837online sounds promising, too.

For Scotland, there's the official ScotlandsPeople site.

I got the three above links from this Ask MeFi thread.

Another Ask MeFi thread included a link to FamilySearch.org, a site provided by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

I found the official Canadian site, the Canadian Genealogy Centre, all by myself (with the help of Google, which can of course be another useful resource for this kind of research).

Now I need to try these out!

More theatre-centric links coming soon!

Broadwayworld.com has published some interesting photos from the NYMF gala.
